สมาคมไทยในเชฟฟิลด์ (Sheffield Thai Society, STS) เป็นการรวมตัวกันของชาวไทยที่กำลังศึกษาและทำงานอยู่ในเมืองเชฟฟิลด์ อันประกอบไปด้วยนักเรียนจาก 2 มหาวิทยาลัยหลักในเมืองนี้ ได้แก่ University of Sheffield และ Sheffield Hallam University และยังได้รับการสนับสนุนจากชาวไทยที่ประกอบอาชีพต่างๆอยู่ที่นี่ วัตถุประสงค์หลักคือการให้ความช่วยเหลือนักเรียนไทยหรือคนไทยที่เดินทางมาใหม่ และเป็นศูนย์รวมคนไทยในเชฟฟิลด์ให้เป็นน้ำหนึ่งใจเดียวกัน นอกจากนี้ยังคอยทำหน้าที่ประสานงานส่งข่าวสารต่างๆจากสถานทูตไทยมายังคนไทยในต่างแดนอีกด้วย โดยที่ทางสมาคมได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของสามัคคีสมาคม ซึ่งเป็นสมาคมนักเรียนไทยในอังกฤษที่ใหญ่ที่สุดด้วย

นอกจากหน้าที่การดูแลนักเรียนไทยแล้ว STS ยังมีบทบาทในการเผยแพร่ศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทยที่มีอารยธรรมยาวนานสู่สายตาชาวต่างชาติ โดยผ่านกิจกรรมต่างๆของมหาวิทยาลัย ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการสอนภาษาไทย สอนทำอาหารไทย หรือแม้แต่การให้ข้อมูลท่องเที่ยว ซึ่งกิจกรรมเหล่านี้จะทำให้ชาวต่างชาติได้มองเห็นประเทศไทยในแง่มุมที่ถูกต้อง และเป็นการประชาสัมพันธ์การท่องเที่ยวไทยไปในตัวด้วย

Thai Society of Manchester ได้ถูกจัดตั้งขึ้นเป็นครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 1994 โดยกลุ่มนักเรียนไทยที่มาศึกษาอยู่ ณ เมือง Manchester ประเทศอังกฤษ โดยในยุคแรกของการจัดตั้งนั้นได้ใช้ชื่อว่า Thai Society in Manchester ซึ่งได้ลงทะเบียนเป็นสมาคมหนึ่งในหลายๆ สมาคมนักเรียน กับ UMIST Students' Association ซึ่ง Thai Society in Manchester มีชื่อเรียกขานซึ่งเป็นที่รู้จกโดยทั่วไปว่า ThaiSoc

The liverpool Thai Society is mixture of students from Liverpool John Moores University and Liverpool University. The society has been going since 2001 and has been organising events and workshops to help bring a flavour of Thai culture to the students and people of Liverpool.

Information on these events will appear on these pages over the next year so please keep checking back so that you don't miss any of these events. The secondary aim of this site is to help our Thai students both past and present to keep in touch. It is also a place for our newer students to find information to help make their stay in Liverpool a more enjoyable one.

สำนักงานผู้ดูแลนักเรียน ในประเทศอังกฤษ มีหน้าที่ และความรับผิดชอบ ดูแลและจัดการศึกษานักเรียนทุนรัฐบาล และข้าราชการลาศึกษา และฝึกอบรมใน 5 ประเทศ ได้แก่ สหราชอาณาจักร สาธารณรัฐไอร์แลนด์ สหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐเยอรมัน ประเทศฝรั่งเศสและ ประเทศสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ นอกจากนี้ยังมีหน้าที่ ในการประสานความร่วมมือ กับสถาบันการศึกษา และหน่วยงานต่าง ๆ ในภูมิภาคยุโรป เพื่อให้เกิดการร่วมมือ ด้านการศึกษาและวิชาการ

Am Thai newspaper is established for Thai and English-readers who are interested in Thai/UK culture and society in the United Kingdom.

The papers’ intention is to present the interesting news and useful features publishing monthly. The project aims to be presenting and communicating among Thai people and English-readers who used to live, living or want to live in the UK/Thailand. This is to help consolidate Thai-English community, and also to help Thais who are living in such a foreign country to overcome their sense of alienation by familiarising themselves with some of traditional/contemporary English cultural events from our informative articles.
